Behind each new face is a professional who chooses to spend their days alongside young people—shaping, challenging and championing them. Giulia Beccarelli, French teacher

Education: 2005 BA in foreign languages and literature from the University of Parma; 2022 MA in teaching foreign language from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies

Before Blair: A language educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience across independent schools in the United States and abroad, Ms. Beccarelli most recently taught French and Spanish at The John Carroll School in Maryland.

Coaching: JV volleyball and JV girls’ lacrosse

Cameron Bentley ’20, Admission associate

Education: 2024 BA in environmental thought and practice from the University of Virginia

Before Blair: After graduating from UVA, Ms. Bentley worked at Guy Carpenter, where she analyzed client exposure to natural disasters and collaborated with peril experts to develop underwriting, reinsurance and climate risk strategies.

Coaching: Rowing

Kathleen Carroll, English teacher

Education: 2017 BA in English and classics from Colby College; 2023 PhD in English and American Literature from the University of South Carolina

Before Blair: Most recently, Dr. Carroll taught English and mythology at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, Florida, while also serving as a faculty dorm parent, JV volleyball assistant coach and theatre assistant.

Isaiah Chery, Mathematics teacher

Education: 2022 BA in economics and government from Franklin & Marshall College

Before Blair: Mr. Chery joins Blair following his work as an Algebra II instructor at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Massachusetts, where he also served as a football, basketball, and track-and-field coach, a head dorm parent, student advisor and advisor to the school’s Black Student Union.

Coaching: Football and JV boys’ basketball

Emma Fleming, Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Information & Athletics Facilities

Education: 2026 BS in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University

Before Blair: In addition to completing her studies at Syracuse University, Ms. Fleming brings experience in sports communications through her roles as a digital content intern for Firecracker Sports, a marketing assistant for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and a communications resident for Little League International.

Coaching: JV boys’ basketball and softball

Lauren Ingenito, Director of Parent Philanthropy

Education: Studied fashion merchandizing at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising

Before Blair: Mrs. Ingenito comes to Blair with more than 14 years of experience in indepedent school advancement, most recently serving in parent engagement and advancement leadership at Far Hills Country Day School. She has also served as volunteer coordinator and administrator for Turn the Towns Teal, where she oversees volunteer engagement, communications, fundraising and community outreach in support of ovarian cancer awareness.

Willy Kaiser ’18, Director of Student Activities

Education: 2022 BA in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania 

Before Blair: A longtime champion on the mat, Mr. Kaiser returns to the hilltop as Director of Student Activities after serving as a first-grade teacher in Alexandria, Virginia, where he helped establish the girls’ wrestling program at Alexandria City High School. 

Coaching: Assistant wrestling and assistant football coach

Mia Macaluso, Head Girls’ Wrestling Coach 

Education: 2024 BS in health and physical education and 2025 MS in sports administration, both from East Stroudsburg University

Before Blair: Ms. Macaluso joins Blair as the program’s first ever head coach of girls’ wrestling. She arrives with a distinguished record as both a competitor and coach. A World Team Member and five-time USA National Team Member, she was a three-time NCAA All-American at East Stroudsburg University, where she helped guide the program into the national top 10 as head assistant coach.

Lila Manstein, Science teacher

Education: 2018 BA in both chemistry and mathematics from Amherst College; 2020 master’s in education from the Teach-Now Graduate School of Education

Before Blair: Ms. Manstein comes to Blair from Ivy Collegiate Academy in Taiwan, where she taught advanced courses in chemistry and biology and served as the head of the science department and the school’s activities coordinator.

Coaching: JV girls’ soccer and swimming

Kristan Pearson, Assistant Director of Advancement Information Services

Education: Pursued general studies at Northampton Community College and East Stroudsburg University

Before Blair: Ms. Pearson, who had worked in Blair’s advancement office for seven years in an administrative role, returned to the hilltop in 2026 as assistant director of advancement information services after working for the East Stroudsburg University Foundation as a staff accountant and executive administrative assistant.

Kate Swann, Mathematics teacher

Education: 2026 BA in quantitative environmental science from Williams College

Before Blair: Ms. Swann joins Blair from Williams College, where, in addition to completing her studies, she served as a varsity cross country and track-and-field captain and four-time All-American in addition to working as mathematics teaching assistant and a biology research assistant. She is Blair’s 2026-2027 Hardwick Teaching fellow.

Nicole Tipton ’93, Director of Alumni Relations

Education: 1997 BA in political science from Columbia University; 2003 MA in instructional technology and media from Columbia University

Before Blair: Mrs. Tipton comes to Blair after serving as Associate Director of Alumni Engagement at Lafayette College. She is already a familiar face on campus, having worked in a number of roles in Blair’s advancement office between 2019 and 2022, including as Director of Alumni Relations.
