Application Process
My daughter chose Blair because it felt like home. Faculty and staff get to know students, care about their well-being and challenge them appropriately to reach their full potential. Although Blair certainly competes with select high schools across the country in graduating seniors who enroll at elite colleges and universities, students don't compete with each other. With a culture that is uniquely positive, supportive and encouraging, Blair has become my daughter's home-away-from home.

Step 7: Character Skills Snapshot
We invite all applicants to submit the Character Skills Snapshot (CSS), an innovative online tool that looks at students in seven non-cognitive areas. Our hope is that this will be an interesting and informative moment of self-assessment for applicants, while also providing the admission office with a more robust picture of each student. At Blair, we value students’ contributions to the life of the school, both in the classroom and out. The CSS is another way for us to get to know you better and to see how you will excel as a member of our community.
How to Take the Character Skills Snapshot
If you choose to take the SSAT, you can register for the test and the CSS at the same time. To begin, create an SSAT account. Please note that the CSS can only be taken from the student account, not the parent account and that the student must be logged in to see the CSS access.
For step by step information and to learn much more about the CSS, please click here.
If you have elected not to take the SSAT but would still like to submit a CSS, please click here to learn more. If the $35 fee to take the CSS poses a financial hardship, please email admission@blair.edu.
