The Blair community enjoys the unspoiled natural beauty of the 120-acre Siegel Property that buffers the north and west parts of the School’s 463-acre pastoral campus. Intersecting trails lead to an outdoor classroom, a meditation labyrinth and the 30-acre Lake Genevieve. Classes perform field work here, and, during every season, students, teachers, staff members and their families hike, bike, explore and relax amid the serene surroundings. In addition, alumni and their families participate in a guided hike through the Siegel Property during Alumni Weekend. The property’s name honors Honorary Trustee Herbert J. Siegel ’46, an exceptionally generous Blair benefactor and visionary Trustee, who was instrumental in the purchase of the acreage from the Girl Scout Council of Essex County in 2006.
