Volunteer Recognition
Blair Academy is grateful to the many alumni, parents and friends who invest time and expertise in volunteer service to the School. Each year, we are pleased to recognize outstanding effort and dedication with several awards.
The School takes great pride in recognizing one extraordinary volunteer each year with the Citation of Merit, its highest honor. The Citation is presented to those men and women whose meritorious service has helped chart the course of Blair Academy.
The Alumnus of the Year award honors a Blair graduate whose steadfast loyalty and generous service to his or her alma mater has been especially impactful. Finally, the annual Peachey Awards are presented to alumni in four categories: Class Representative of the Year; Outstanding Class Correspondent; Alumni Volunteer of the Year; and Outstanding Reunion Committee. Established in 1998 and named in honor of Dennis W. Peachey ’62, these awards are given at Alumni Weekend in recognition of selfless service to classmates and the School.
To recognize and celebrate the outstanding athletic achievements of its alumni and coaches, Blair established an Athletic Hall of Fame and honored its first five inductees in 2016.
