Below are answers to commonly asked questions regarding Blair’s upcoming Alumni Weekend.

What are my options for travel connections and ground transportation?

Blair is located approximately nine miles east of the Delaware River and the Pennsylvania/New Jersey border. The School is easily accessible via Interstate Route 80. Sixty-five miles from New York City, Blair sits in close proximity to four international airports: Newark (NJ) closest proximity to Blair, John F. Kennedy (NY), LaGuardia (NY) and Lehigh Valley (PA). For transport we recommend using State Shuttle for shuttle service or private sedans (particularly for transport to/from nearby airports). To reach State Shuttle, call (800) 427-3207, or visit its website.

When I arrive on campus where should I go first?

When you arrive on campus proceed to Meerwarth Courtyard, located between Clinton and Locke Halls (by the Arch), for check-in, directional signs will point the way. At check-in, you will receive your official name badge which notes meals you have paid for (please wear your name badge at all times throughout the weekend), pamphlet with the schedule of events, your dorm room key if you have registered to stay in a dorm overnight and any other class-specific information or items.

Alumni Registration Check-In Hours:
Friday, June 5 – 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What should I wear?

Suggested Attire for Events

All Friday & Saturday Day Events: Comfortable, casual clothing.

For Friday Evening Events:

  • 50th Reunion Dinner - Coat & tie preferred. Blair's Romano Dining Hall.
  • Welcome Back Party - ALL welcome, adults only! Casual attire. Hardwick Hall Lawn under the tent (outdoor).


Saturday Evening Cocktails & Dinner Dance for all alumni: Dressy attire. Chiang Center for Innovation & Collaboration for cocktails. Dinner in Romano Dining Hall (indoor/outdoor).

What about childcare?

Childcare will be available at our Childcare Learning Center located in the basement of Clinton Hall. Date and times of childcare will be available in March 2020. The cost is $10/hour for one child, $15/hour for two or more children.

Are canines allowed on campus?

Well-behaved canines are allowed on campus and all pets are required to be leashed. No pets are allowed to stay overnight in the dorms. For nearby overnight boarding for pets, we recommend using Hope's Kennels located in Blairstown. Their phone number is (908) 459-5380.

Are changing facilities available on campus to take a shower or freshen up if needed?

Yes, there will be designated locker rooms for men and women in Hardwick Hall. The locker rooms will not be locked, so users should not leave their belongings there without securing them in a locker. If you would like to use a locker, please bring your own lock.
