
The Blair Academy baseball team were victorious against Bullis in their doubleheader against Bullis School, with finals scores of 10-5 and 14-11 on Saturday at Blair Academy.
In the first game, the Bucs flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring seven runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Danny DiCarlo '27 that drove in two.
Jackson Cooper '26 earned the win for Blair. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over four innings, striking out one and walking three. Thomas Horner '27 collected the save.
Leadoff hitter Dicarlo led the team with two hits in four at bats. All game, they had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 12 walks for the game. Peter Zhao '27, Cooper, Andrew Pearce '26, and Shane Hadden '26 led the team with two walks each. Cooper stole two bases. Blair ran wild on the base paths, collecting seven stolen bases for the game.
In the second game against Bullis, Horner drove in four runs on two hits to lead Blair past Bullis 14-11. The junior singled in the first scoring two, singled in the third scoring two, and walked in the second scoring one.
Bats blistered as the team collected nine hits and Bullis tallied eight in the high-scoring game. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Brady Hoffman '26 that drove in two.
Pearce earned the win for Blair Academy Varsity Bucs. The hurler gave up three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none.
Dicarlo, Cooper, Horner, and Hoffman each collected two hits. Hoffman paced the Bucs with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Dicarlo and Horner each stole multiple bases.
