
The Blair Varsity Baseball team defeated Lawrenceville 5-3 this past Wednesday. They were the first to get on the board in the first when Jackson Cooper '26 singled, scoring one run. Steven Accomando '27 doubled to center field, which helped Blair Academy Varsity Bucs tie the game at two in the bottom of the second. Additionally, Andrew Pearce '26 singled to right field, which helped Blair Academy Varsity Bucs tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Blair went back into the lead after Danny Dicarlo '26 doubled to center field, and Brady Hoffman '26 singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Jackson Cooper earned the win for Bucs. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Dicarlo opened the game for Blair. He surrendered eight hits and three runs over four and one-third innings, striking out six and walking one.
Overall, the team earned 10 hits in the game. Accomando and Hoffman
Blair's next day of competition will be a double-header as the host Bullis School on Saturday, March 28. The first game will be at 1:30 p.m.
