Blair Crew Earns Medals at Head of the Housatonic

Last weekend, the varsity girls' and boys' crew team had a wonderful experience at Head of the Housatonic in Connecticut. It was Blair's first Head Race in years, and it was the first time that the school competed in a sculling event. Needless to say, Coach Gardner and Coach Redos thought it was a great success.

All nine rowers represented Blair well, and set the tone for years to come. Everyone raced very well, and Isa Dugan '22 and Dylan Bentley '22 took silver and bronze respectively in the Junior Women's 1x. This experience allowed Blair to see what the team is doing is working, and our around-the-buoy experiences on Friday at Paulinskill Lake put the Bucs in a great position, as they handled the demands of a winding course very well. The rowers were excited on the car ride home and were getting excited for Hill next week, but also to travel again to the Head of the Fish in just 20 days' time. They will get the chance to rematch several of the scullers they competed against this weekend.
