The Blair crew team opened their season with a competitive dual race against Peddie this past Saturday. Blair's girls' varsity team swept Peddie with very decisive victories along the way. The first varsity boat produced a very fast time of 5:25.08. The second and third varsity boats surpassed and lined up with the Peddie's 1V in terms of time, resulting in a 5:57.06 finish for the second and 6:07.00 finish for the third.
Boys' varsity had some close racing but was ultimately swept by Peddie. The girl's and boy's novices lost to Peddie, despite performing well throughout the race. The girls' novice four hopped in the boat for the first time on Saturday and really pushed the fourth varsity boat.
Blair is looking forward to racing Hill this weekend at Paulinskill Lake at 2:15 p.m.
