The varsity boys’ and girls’ crew teams had a fantastic opening weekend at the Battle of the Blades against Peddie, with Hill participating as a guest crew. Blair Rowing delivered an impressive performance across the board to kick off their season.
On the girls' side, Blair secured victories in the first varsity, second varsity, and third varsity races, with the fourth and fifth crews notably finishing ahead of Peddie’s third varsity. Additionally, the novice eight dominated their event. All of the Blair women's boats crossed the finish line over thirty seconds ahead of second place.
The Blair boys’ team also performed exceptionally, earning wins in the second varsity, third varsity, fourth varsity, and novice eight, each securing their respective victories by more than ten seconds. The first varsity crew finished third in a competitive race against strong Hill and Peddie crews.
With victories in eight of the nine events, Blair claimed the Battle of the Blades trophy, The team is looking forward to building on this momentum with upcoming races at Mercer Sprints and the 5th Manny Flick.
