This past weekend, the Blair crew program raced in the Mercer Sprints at Mercer Lake for the first time in two years. Although it's been a long time since the team has competed in this event, they certainly did not disappoint.

On Saturday, the first girls' varsity boat started out strong, coming in second in their heat to Connecticut by four seconds. The second girls' varsity boat followed suit, taking second place in their heat to PNRA/Mercer. Placing fifth was the third girls' varsity boat, defeating Peddie along the way. In the finals, the first girls' varsity boat placed fourth (four seconds away from bronze) and the second girls' varsity boat seized the bronze in their final with a six second lead over the South Jersey Rowing Club.

Sunday was a day of improvement for the program, focusing on getting better and improving their times. The girls' novice eight went first, placing third in their heat and seventh overall. Twenty minutes later, the boys' novice eight place fourth in their heat and sixth overall.
