It was a game that went down to the wire, but Blair persevered yet again defeating Wyoming Seminary 33-27. This win continues the hot streak for the Bucs, starting the season 2-0.
At the start of the game, Blair found themselves trailing 0-13 in the first quarter. The slow start came to an end with Noah Pettigrew '22 scoring a touchdown on a 3-yard run, ending the quarter with a score of 7-13. In the second quarter, the offense began to turn itself around with captain Sanoussi Kane '20 scoring two rushing touchdowns reclaiming the lead.
This was a game that went back and forth. One Blair score resulted in a Wyoming Seminary score. The Blue Knights quarterback Nick Lucien completed a 12-yard touchdown pass to Adam Honis, resulting in Blair only up 33-27 with a few minutes left to play in the fourth quarter. But Sanoussi Kane clinched the game with a 1st down conversion off of a fake punt, sealing the win for the Bucs. Kane ended the game with three touchdowns and 186 rushing yards. Jude Buchanan '22 also contributed to the scoring with a 3-yard rushing touchdown.
The next challenge for the team will be on Saturday, September 28th, as Blair will have their home opener against Penn Charter at 3:00 p.m. To read more, click here.
