Blair Rowing had a strong showing at this year’s Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) National Championships, held on the Cooper River in Camden, New Jersey. Racing took place over two days, Friday and Saturday, with our athletes competing in a range of events across both the women's and men's teams.
On the women’s side, both the Senior 4+ and Junior 4+ demonstrated consistency and composure throughout the weekend. Each crew won their heat and semifinal, securing places in the championship finals. The Senior 4+ put together a powerful race in a highly competitive final, earning a silver medal and finishing second overall in the nation. The Junior 4+ also rose to the occasion, battling down the course to claim the bronze medal in their final. Their performance reflected grit, resilience, and continued progress throughout the season.
The men’s team also made its mark, with two boats entered in competition. The Lightweight 4+ raced with determination, finishing fifth in their heat against a very deep field. Meanwhile, the Men’s Junior 4+ showcased speed and cohesion, winning both their heat and semifinal to advance to the final. There, they capped off their weekend with a well-earned third-place finish, taking home a bronze medal and reinforcing the strength of Blair’s developing squad. This was the first time a men's boat had medaled at SRAA's since 2018.
