The varsity boys' cross country team fell short this past Saturday as the team lost to Hun with a final score of 22-39.
Sophomore Isaac Greene '24 pelted out an impressive 17:42 over a hilly Hun course on Saturday. He led the race from the beginning and paced himself admirably to finish about a minute ahead of the first Hun runner, Eric Scully. Next for Blair was senior Timmy Xi '22 who finished in 19:00, ten seconds after Hun’s third finisher. Following Timmy was junior Haruki Ono '23 finishing 9th with a time of 19:56. Rounding out Blair’s top seven were sophomores Michael Zhang '24 (21:35) and Dmitry Grachez '24 (22:11) in 16th and 18th place respectively, and then senior Ben Liu '22 (22:37) and sophomore Arthur Huang '24 (22:53).
The rest of the Blair field included Andrew Hong '25 (23:51), Tom Li '24 (24:47), Daniel Zhang '24 (24:52), Tony Ni '25 (26:10), Andrew Wang '24 (26:58), Scottie Kimmelman '22 (27:34), Bobby Castillo '25 (27:56), Matthew Falsetti '25 (28:49), Roman Usher '24 (29:58), and Joaquín Tahta '24 (31:32). Hun’s course included several long climbs and a long loop through the beautiful fall foliage of Princeton’s Greenway Meadows Park.Work remains for the Blair boys as the team looks forward to two consecutive meets at home.
