The varsity boys' tennis team won a game deciding tie breaker, resulting in a 3-2 victory over a tough Hunterdon Central team. It was a tough match for the Bucs, as no player pulled away in any match. It was a nail biter from the first match to the last.
Joop Olthof '20 and Jack Weber '21 each won their singles matches for the Bucs. Joop defeated his opponent in two straight sets with scores of 6-0 and 6-3. Jack's match was a hard fought battle, winning the first set 6-1 and losing the second 5-7. The sophomore was able to pull out the win with a final third set score of 10-8. The deciding win was the doubles match when Nick Harpe '21 and John Boellhoff '21 defeated their opponents in two close sets 7-6, 7-6.
The Bucs will play in the MAPL tournament this Saturday at Mercersburg Academy, looking to repeat as champions.
