Boys' Tennis opens season with thrilling win against Lawrenceville

The varsity boys' tennis team defeated a tough Lawrenceville squad 5-2 this past Saturday. This is the first time in a number of years that Blair has defeated Lawrenceville in the regular season.
Dominant performances were made by Marc Riera '22, Ethan Turkewitz '22, and Nick Hanson '22 as they won their singles matches in two sets. Jack Weber '21 defeated his opponent in a thrilling third set tiebreaker, where he came out victorious with a 12-10 third set score. In the doubles matches, Marc Riera '22 and Ethan Turkewitz '22 won 8-3. Jack Weber '21 and Hagen Shook '21 won 8-2, resulting in a team point for the Bucs.
