Blair's varsity boys soccer pulled out another win against Newton High School on Saturday night, defeating the Braves 1-0. The game was close with both teams putting forward a strong battle. The score stayed tied until Steven Groseibl '26 placed his penalty kick in the bottom left corner to secure a goal for the Blair Bucs with 22 minutes left in the first half. The rest of the game was an incredible battle from Blair creating many more scoring opportunities and keeping the defense locked down.
Another mentionable player is Layton Glover '26 reaching a double digit save count of 12 and securing his first shutout of the season. Directing his defense and organizing the team as a whole, Layton played a huge part in keeping the opposing team from scoring.
Next game for Blair will be on Wednesday, September 18, as they travel to College Acheive Central for a 4:30 p.m. start.
