Boys' Varsity Tennis opens season with MAPL victory

Blair's boys' varsity tennis team opened their season this past Saturday at Mercersburg Academy. The returning MAPL champions did not skip a beat, defeating the Blue Storm 6-1. Marc Riera '22 swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0. Nick Hansen '22, Paul Kazilionis '22, Scottie Kimmelman '22, and Hayden Yau '24 all followed with dominant singles matches. 

For the doubles, Blair swept Mercersburg in all three matches. Riera and Ethan Turkewitz '22 won first doubles handily 8-1. Kazilionis and Yau won their match by narrow margins with a score of 8-6. Hansen and Kimmelman defeated their opponents 8-3.

The next match for the Bucs will be at Lawrenceville on Wednesday, April 6, at 4:00 p.m.
