On November 9th, Blair's head swimming coach Caroline Wilson was named as one of the 100 greatest swimmers of all time, according to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America. Nearly three thousand athletes were nominated, with a panel of current and former college swimmers, coaches, and members of the media making selections from a list of 973 finalists.
"I was thrilled to hear I had been named to this list," said Coach Wilson. "It is such an honor to have my name listed among some of the most well known swimmers of all time. Having swam at boarding school and a Division III college, I certainly have a different background than many of the other honorees. Hearing from college, high school and even youth club teammates and coaches as a result of this recognition has reminded me that, through swimming, I have been able to have an impact on many different people throughout my career. Ultimately, I am incredibly grateful for the impact swimming has had on my life and the doors it has opened for me."
Caroline was a 13-time NCAA champion, 11-time individual NCAA title champion, and broke seven NCAA records during her time as a Williams College swimmer. She was named NCAA Division III Female Swimmer of the year in 2013 and is a 27-time NCAA All-American. She has been the Blair swimming coach for eight years and is looking foward to a great season for the Bucs!
