The girls' basketball team ended their season on a high note, as they placed 5th in the InsiderExposure Independent School National Championship held in Mooresville, North Carolina this past weekend.

The first game of the tournament was against TPLS of Virginia, where the Bucs took the win 59-50. It was an overall team effort as everyone contributed on both ends of the floor.

The next day, Blair came up short to a tough IMG Academy team 75-57, despite an impressive 27 point game from senior Sydney Brown '18. However, the team bounced back as they defeated Carolina Prep 70-64. Brown had another dominating performance scoring 34 points, recording a total of 61 points on Saturday.

The team concluded the tournament by winning the placing game, defeating Crestwood Prep of Canada 65-61, earning the Bucs 5th place.

"I am in awe of these amazingly tough and resilient student-athletes," said Quint Clarke '87, Blair's head girls' basketball coach. "All season, they played for each other and overcame adversity, never giving up through the toughest of times. I am sad that the season is over as we lose an amazing group of seniors, but already am looking forward to the new opportunities next year presents."
