Blair Academy sent two women's fours to Scholastic Nationals in Ohio this past weekend. This is the first time that Blair has sent two women's boats to Scholastic Nationals.

The JV four was comprised of Elizabeth Montfort '20, Ava Gamble '21, Dylan Bentley '22, Camille Williams '20, and Jenna Kimmel '21. With a young crew made up of one freshman, two sophomores, and two juniors, The team was ecstatic with their performance. The boat came in third in their first heat to advance them to the semi-finals. In the semi-final, their time across the semis put them in the 9th place standing overall to conclude their event.

The Varsity four was made up of Emily Maniscalco '19, Cam Bentley '20, Caeley Tierney '19, Genevieve Koffman '19, and Alexa Setteducate '19. With four seniors in the crew, the boat's racing experience helped to earn them a clear victory in their first heat. This first place finish gained an automatic spot in the semi-finals. The next morning, the crew finished in 2nd place in their semi that advanced them to the grand final. The girls finished a solid 4th place ending the season as the 4th scholastic crew boat in the country.

With six girls returning from this Nationals experience, everyone left Ohio hungry to train for the next year in order to find themselves on the podium.
