Girls CC Recap 09272025

On an unseasonably warm afternoon, Blair extended its dual meet record to 2-0 with a strong performance against Delaware Valley Regional High School.

A special shout-out to junior Sela Rozov who eclipsed 30 minutes in her first ever high school cross country race and to senior Rachel Kim who ran her first high school race in just slightly above 30 minutes. We are excited to have both of these athletes on our team and look forward to further growth and success from them as the season progresses.

In the varsity race, Delaware Valley took the top two spots, before Blair's impressive "pack" came through again, with seven Blair girls finishing in a tight 1:40 window before Del Val's 3rd runner could get to the line. The Bucs were led this time by junior Victoria Carbonaro, who was followed closely by senior Maia Frank, freshman Sofia Ghoul, freshman Grace Cui, senior Ashley Hur, senior Kenzie Quiggley, and senior Jessica Neary. While everyone in this group ran impressively, it is particularly noteworthy to see Grace Cui drop 2 minutes from her home course PR to join in the top group.

In addition to Sela and Rachel mentioned above, JV finishers included sophomore Sophia Lee, junior Aanya Hemady, sophomore Maddie Nicholson, freshman Amanda Lin, and freshman Mia Whisnant.

After a long weekend, Blair is back in action this coming Thursday at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University.
