The girls' varsity lacrosse team moves to 8-5 on the season after a stretch of exciting games, including a dominating win over Peddie to secure an appearance in the NJISAA Prep A State Semi-Finals.

Blair handled Kittatinny High School with ease in a 14-4 victory before hitting a tough stretch of games against Bridgewater-Raritan, Montclair High School, and The Lawrenceville School. Ranked #6 in New Jersey, Bridgewater-Raritan was a hefty opponent for the Bucs, who ultimately lost by a score of 18-3 in a tough fight. This competition prepared the team well for a close game with Montclair just a few days later, but unfortunately came up short in a 14-11 loss. To round out MAPL play, the Bucs hosted Lawrenceville at Hampshire Field on Saturday. Despite en evenly played first 10 minutes, the Big Red ran away with the game by a score of 16-4.

After this tough stretch of losses, Blair bounced back on Monday in a phenomenal team performance against Peddie. Smooth transition, prolific scoring, stellar defense and fantastic goalkeeping all came together to buy the Bucs a 21-7 victory and a ticket to the NJISAA Prep A State Semi-Finals. The Bucs will travel down to Lawrenceville next Monday for this match-up and another chance at the Big Red. In the meantime, the team is looking forward to a game away against Pingry this Thursday. Go Bucs!
