On Wednesday April 8th, the Blair Academy girls' varsity lacrosse team beat the Peddie School, in the first MAPL match of the season, 15-8.
Significant stats were: Olivia Woollen '28, with four goals and two assists; Peyton Taylor '27 with three goals; Madison Kuhner '27 with one assist and five face-off wins; Stephi Hughes '26 with two goals, three assists and two face-off wins; McKenzie Quigley '26 with three goals, two assists, and two face-off wins; Ella Eldridge with two goals, one assist, and eight face-off wins; and Sadie Betz '28 with one goal, one assist, and one face-off win.
McKenzie caused five turnovers, and both her and Bella Biondo '26 each got one ground ball. Bella and Olivia each caused a turnover as well.
After a strong lead and resilience from players, Blair Academy girls' varsity lacrosse is undefeated with a record of 3-0 and will play their second MAPL match, at home, against Lawrenceville on April 11th at 2:30 pm.
