Rhett Moroses
GVS vs. LVille 10/30

On Saturday, October 30th, Blair's girls' varsity soccer defeated the Lawrenceville Big Red 4-1.

The game started with a lot of pressure from Blair. The strategy worked and the Bucs went up three minutes into the game due to an unfortunate own-goal. In the first half of play, it was a bit turbulent with both teams creating chances and moving the ball up the field quickly. Blair continued to create many scrabble chances, but the second goal came with about eleven minutes left in the first half with a beautiful shot by Melissa Groseibl '22, from way outside of the box. Lawrenceville responded with their next possession, taking a shot from about thirty yards as well.

The half ended 2:1 for Blair. The second half started with similar intensity as Lawrenceville tried to chase a goal and Blair hoped to calm the game down by scoring another one. Ten minutes into the half, Melissa Groseibl’s cross was met by a flying Brynne Grant '24 who scored off of a spectacular header.

This win gives much-needed momentum for the Bucs, as they compete for the Kelley-Potter Cup against Peddie this weekend!
