The girls' varsity soccer team earned their seventh win of the season against league opponent Mercersburg Academy this past Saturday. Blair earned a 5-1 victory with three Bucs scoring for the team. In the first half, Brynne Grant '24 scored the first goal for Blair. Brynne ended the day with a hat trick of three goals, scoring the other two goals in the second half. Freshmen Gianna Martic '26 and Sara Groseibl '26 each scored one goal a piece.
Defensively, Sam Kowalick '25 did an excellent job as goalkeeper, only allowing one goal from the Blue Storm. Madison Guiry '25 did a great job of slowing down the Mercersburg offense.
This win marks the fifth win in a row for Blair girls' soccer, after the team suffered three straight losses back in September. Their next game will be on Wednesday, October 19, as they travel to play Mount Olive at 4:30 p.m.
