Isaac Greene ‘24 once again led the varsity boys' cross country team with the top honors of the day with a blazing time 15:44.7. The closest runner to him, senior Luke Treese of Peddie, finished more than a minute and a half back.
Petr Panchenko ‘24 was hot on the trail of three Peddie runners through much of the race and was able to catch and pass one of them to finish 4th overall with a time of 17:40. Andrew Zhang ‘26 was a stalwart for Blair all season and scored 3rd for Blair once again with a time of 18:37, a personal record by 15 seconds. Next came Weston Trish ‘25 at 19:05, fighting off a challenge by junior Peddie runner, Soh Sugimoto, with a personal record by 16 seconds. Rounding out the top 5 for Blair was Andrew Hong ‘25 at 19:21.
The team glad to have Owen Granahan ‘24 back from injured reserve with a very impressive 19:42 after spending much of the season with various maladies and doing alternative workouts to stay in shape. Tony Ni ‘25 was after Owen and completed our varsity seven with another time of 20:00. Also coming off of injured reserve was Michael Zhang ‘24 who endured weeks of elliptical workouts to stay in shape and ultimately record an impressive time of 20:06. Haruki Ono ‘23 was next for the Bucs at 20:35, followed by Topher Antonelli ‘24 at 20:36, Mason Davson ‘26 at 23:37, Shay Corrigan ‘26 at 23:36, and finally Josh Feng ‘26 at 24:49.
