The varsity track and field team had an excellent showing at the NJISAA Prep A State Championships at The Peddie School this past Saturday. Throughout the day, Blair produced many top place finishes. Below is a list of all the athletes who earned points for the team.
- Temilola Bambe '27 placed 4th in the girls' 100 meter dash with a final time of 13.87. She also placed 5th in the girls' long jump with a measurement of 14-07.00.
- Petra Taylor '24 had a great day in a number of events. The senior placed 1st in the girls' 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.58. Additionally, she placed 2nd in the girls' 200 meter dash with a time of 27.11.
- Morgan Frame '24 placed 4th in the girls' 200 meter dash with a time of 28.88.
- Sasha Gershman '25 placed 4th in the girls' long jump with a measurement of 15-08.50. She also placed 4th in the girls' triple jump with a measurement of 30-07.50.
- Nour Hassan '24 placed 5th in the girls' discus throw with a measurement 82-02.
- Isaac Greene '24 led the boys' team. He placed 1st in the boys' 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.57, and 1st in the boys' 1600 meter run with a time of 4:28.44. He was also a put of the 1st place 4x400 relay squad who consisted of Isaac, Grant Krueger '24, Machua Machugia '24, and Andrew Zhang '26.
- Mayan Muchugia '26 placed 4th in the boys' 100 meter dash with a time of 11.79, and 4th in the boys' long jump with a measurement of 19-02.00.
- Michael Lynch '26 earned 4th in boys' pole vault with a measurement of 9-06.00.
- Parker Lee '27 earned 4th in the boys' 200 meter dash with a time of 24.14.
- Nathan Bo '24 earned 3rd in the boys' long jump with a measurement of 19-06.00
Overall, the boys' team placed 4th in the state championships as the girls' team placed 5th.
