Blair's track and field team competed this weekend at The Lawrenceville School in the 2023 MAPL Track & Field Championships. Although the team did not secure a championship, many individuals had great performances, resulting in top five finishes in running and field events.
Isaac Greene '24 had a great day placing 1st in the 1600 meter run and 2nd in the 3200 meter run, earning himself All-MAPL honors. In the 800 meter run, Blair had Nicholas Rocca '25 for the boys' and Maggie Antosek '25 for the girls both place 5th.
For the field events, Cheyenne Joachim '25 led the bucs with a 2nd place finish in discus. Patrick Payne '23 placed 2nd in pole vault while his younger sister Courtney Payne '25 placed 3rd. Mayan Muchugia '26 earned 5th place for high jump.
The track and field team will conclude their season on Wednesday, May 17, as they travel to Lawrenceville for the Ed Poreda Invitational.
