Indoor Track Performs Well at MAPLS

Blair's indoor track team traveled to the Lawrenceville School this past Saturday to compete in the 2025 MAPL Championships.

The boys' put together an outstanding day highlighted by a truly elite performance from Jaiveer Chauhan '26, who was dominant across multiple events. Jaiveer advanced to the finals in the 55m and finished 7th overall, showing his speed on the big stage. He then delivered a meet-winning performance in the triple jump, soaring 44’11.5” to take 1st place, earning 10 points for Blair, and moving himself to #14 in New Jersey. He capped off his jumping day with another huge result in the long jump, finishing 2nd overall with a new personal best of 21’5”.

The 400m was another strong event for Blair, with Ashton Brockington, Teddy Hahn '28, and Race Teeple '28 all placing inside the top 15, each turning in big races and personal records. The momentum carried into the 200m, where Gabe Thomas '28, Harrison '28, and Ashton all ran strong, competitive races in a deep field.

To close out the day, Brayden Yau '27 continued his steady progression in the 3200m, dropping his PR yet again and finishing 7th overall with a composed, well-executed race.

The girls also had a strong showing across the sprint events. Lola Bambe '27 led the way with an excellent day, placing 7th in the 55m and following it up with a 9th-place finish in the 200m, competing confidently in both races.

In the 400m, Sofia Alonso '28 and Anwita Borra '27 ran smart, aggressive races, finishing 8th and 9th, respectively, in a tightly packed field. The day wrapped up with a standout performance from Zamoi Jones '27 in the 200m, where she ran a great race and earned a big personal best, continuing her upward trajectory.

Next up is the NJISAA Prep A State Championships this Tuesday and Wednesday down in Lawrenceville, as the Bucs look to carry this momentum into the postseason.
