This past season marked a new horizon for the Blair Field Hockey program. They finished #20 in New Jersey according to MAX Field Hockey and also were invited to a national tournament, playing against the top schools in the country. One of the key players that helped reach this milestone was Kate Antonelli '20.

A four-year varsity starter, Kate finished her career being the all-time goal scorer in program history. She ended her senior season with 68 goals, shattering the previous record of 55 goals. She received the Blair Academy Field Hockey Prize, which is awarded to that member of the varsity field hockey team who, as a willing and faithful athlete for her coaches, and as a skillful and honorable competitor, has shown unselfish dedication and devotion to both the team and the school.

"Kate's tenacity and athleticism in front of the cage always put us in a good position to score, but she was also equally helpful off ball," said Sarah O'Neil, Blair's head field hockey coach. "As such a fast and dangerous center forward, Kate forced defenses to worry about marking her in transition. This opened up space for us in the midfield and was a key to our success. Kate always performed well. Whether she was scoring goals, offering assists, or pumping up her teammates, she was a consistently valuable player in every game."

Kate will be playing lacrosse at George Mason University next year.
