Blair's girls' cross country team raced The Hill School of Pottstown, Pennsylvania in front of a large crowd of supporters on Family Weekend this past Saturday. The weather was ideal for running fast, and the Bucs’ first and second runners - Paige Celley '25 and Chandler Wildrick '25 - buoyed by family support, both set personal 5K best times by over a minute each.
They went out fast, unafraid to chase a trio of talented Hill girls, eventually catching one of their competitors and losing out to another by mere seconds at the line. With a race coming up on flatter terrain next Wednesday, they look to push the boundaries of their talents even further before the end of the season.
Lola Bambe '27 and Brigette Starrs '25 ran together for the majority of the race, winding through soccer fields and around the turf while other competitions against Hill were taking place, concluding a fine day for Blair with strong finishes down the track in front of family and friends.
