This past Wednesday, the Blair ski team opened their season at Mountain Creek in Vernon, New Jersey.
The girls' varsity squad finished 2nd, with four girls placing in the top 11 with Olivia Gore '26 finishing 4th, Elizabeth Brown '28 finishing 8th, Yunha Hwang '26 finishing 10th and Lyann Noh '29 finishing 11th. Tess Mella '26 and Allie Blalock '28 finished 16th and 17th respectively. Sophia Lee '28 placed 3rd in the girls JV race with a time that beat many of the varsity girls times.
The boys' also placed 2nd. Highlights include Ansel Hamlin '26, Liam Green '26 and Ricky Duan '27 finishing within six tenths of a second over two races with Ansel placing 5th overall, Liam placing 6th overall and Rick placing 7th. Along with this Matthew Chong '27 placed 11th overall. For JV, Roy Moon '29 finished 3rd with times that would have beaten many varsity racers and Parker Reuben '26 placing 7th and Martin Duan '29 placing 9th.
