Blair's track and field team performed well this past Tuesday at the Peddie School. With multiple events won by Bucs, the girls team finished 52.50 team points as the boys finished with 63.33 points.
For the girls', Petra Taylor '24 started the momentum for Blair, placing 1st in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:30.51. In the 4x400 meter relay, the squad of Petra, Mackenzie Schreiber '24, Chloe Lau '23, and Nikki Patterson '22, placed 2nd with a time of 4:23.24. Jaylin Hartman '23 had a season best at Javelin, placing third and throwing 73'08".
The boys' team was led by Isaac Greene '24, who placed first in the 800 meter run and the 1600 meter run, Timmy Xi '22 followed in the 800 meter run placing 2nd. Patrick Payne '23 placed 2nd in Pole Vault with a height of 11'06". Losini Maka '22 place second at discus, only short of one inch of his school record with a length of 142'11".
The next meet for Blair will be the MAPL Championships this weekend, May 14, at the Hill School.
