The Blair Academy track and field team traveled to Pennington for a tri-meet against Pennington and Peddie, and it was a strong day all around. The boys team came out on top, winning the meet and edging out Peddie by just one point. The girls team also put together an impressive performance, finishing 3rd overall while recording a number of personal records across the board.

On the boys side, Mayan Muchugia '26 led the way in the 100m, taking 1st place with a season-best performance, while Gabe Thomas '28 placed 7th and Sekario Crossman '28 finished 9th. In the 200m, Parker Lee '27 continued his winning streak with another 1st-place finish, followed by Andrew Zhang '26 in 3rd and Pami Odusanya '27 in 6th. The 400m was another strong event for Blair, with Ashton Brockington '29 placing 2nd, Lenox Nickels '27 4th, and Parker Moss '29 6th. Luke Hosonitz '28 turned in another strong race in the 1600m, earning 2nd place with another season best.

Blair also shined in the relays. The boys A team of Jaiveer Chauhan, Parker, Andrew, and Mayan captured the win in the 4x100, while Blair’s B team — a strong group of sophomore boys made up of Gabe, Jacob Kaufelt '28, Teddy Hahn '28, and Sekario — made it a 1-2 finish with an impressive 2nd-place result. The 4x400 team of Ashton, Pami, Bray Brown '29, and Andrew closed out the day on the track with a 2nd-place finish.

In the field events, Brad Kim '28 placed 4th in the shot put and Ryan Donlon '26 added a 6th-place finish. Jack McCauley '26 continued his dominance in the discus with another 1st-place performance, while Gino Choi '29 placed 5th. Blair was especially strong in the javelin, where Jacob took 1st, Oliver Schwartz '28 2nd, and Xavier Lake '28 4th. Eric Zhu '28 won the high jump, Pami placed 3rd in the long jump with a big personal record, and Jaiveer took 1st in the triple jump.

On the girls side, Lola Bambe '27 had another outstanding day, placing 2nd in both the 100m and the 200m. Elizabeth Brown '28 added a 7th-place finish in the 100m, while Sammy Goff '27 placed 5th in the 200m as the team also celebrated her birthday. Lily Danner '29 had a strong finish in the 800m, placing 5th, and Perla Swann '28 continued her impressive season with another personal record in the 1600m, where she placed 3rd. The girls 4x400 team of Perla, Elizabeth, Anwita Borra '26, and Lily raced to a 2nd-place finish. In the field, Anabela Simovski '29 had a great day, taking 3rd in the shot put and 2nd in the discus.

A great day for the Bucs, with the boys bringing home the team win and the girls putting together a strong, PR-filled performance. Plenty of momentum as the season continues.
