Varsity Field Hockey Defeats Scotch Plains-Fanwood 6-3

After a season-opening loss to national powerhouse Oak Knoll, the varsity field hockey team bounced back with a 6-3 victory over Scotch Plains-Fanwood this past Monday. Right from the start, the Bucs dominated the game by scoring three out of the six total goals in the first quarter.

Seniors Ella Gaitan '24 and Milaw Clause '24 led the way with their offensive prowess. Ella ended the day leading the team in scoring with three goals and Milaw had two goals and two assists. Lil Hyder '27 earned the sixth goal in the third quarter to complete Blair's scoring. Additionally, Casey Kozelnik '26 had another great game in goal, earning eight saves. 

Blair's next game will be Friday, September 15, as they host Phillipsburg High School at 4:15 p.m.
