Varsity Field Hockey opens season with 7-0 victory

The varsity field hockey team dominated in their season opener this past Saturday, defeating the Newton Braves 7-0. Blair scored three goals in the first half, followed by four goals in the second half. 

Offensively, Ella Gaitan '24 led the team with three goals, followed by senior Ella Sloan '23 with two goals. Milaw Clause '24 and Sydney Fischer '24 each had one goal a piece. Milaw and Mia Leddy '23 both contributed with one assist each. Defensively, Casey Kozelnik '26 recieved a shutout performance in goal as well as earned six saves during the game.

Blair will travel to the Pennington School for their next game on Wednesday, September 14, at 4:30 p.m.
