Varsity Football Gains Momentum With Two Games Left

Over the past two weekends, Blair's varsity football team earned two dominant wins in a row. The Bucs earned a 38-9 victory over Kiski, followed by another powerful 54-19 win over Hill. 

In their game against Kiski, Blair's Yaneik Gallego '24 had a great rushing performance, earning 153 yards on 24 attempts and scoring three touchdowns. Luke Dale '24 also earned a rushing touchdown and 29 yards off of three carries.  Defensively, Luke and Brayden Phinney '24 led the team in tackles. Brayden also earned two interceptions. Demi Atere '24 and Shane Hadden '24 had a great nose for the ball and recovered one fumble each. 

Blair continued the dominance against Hill this past weekend. Noah Abbott '24 led this game in rushing with 80 yards on eight carries and one touchdown. Micah Balzarini '24 had a great passing performance as Blair's starting quarterback. He earned 227 passing yards and three passing touchdowns, completing nine out of 18 passes. 

"This team has remained committed to the process and has shown steady improvement throughout the season," said Greg Bowman, Blair's head football coach. Blair's next game will be on Friday, October 27, against Wyoming Seminary. After that, the team will culminate their season on November 4th against Peddie.
