Media Access to Athletic Events

Blair Academy welcomes media coverage of our athletic program and appreciates opportunities to share the accomplishments of our athletes and teams. To protect student safety and allow competitions to proceed without disruption, sideline and courtside/field access requires advance approval from Blair’s office of athletics. Requests must be submitted through the form below at least 48 hours before the event.

Approved media representatives must check in upon arrival and remain in designated areas. Approval does not provide unrestricted access to fields, courts or team spaces, and filming or photography in locker rooms or with drones is prohibited. For each visit, Blair will also require verification of professional affiliation and proof of liability insurance in a minimum of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million in the aggregate, or a signed waiver.

The full application is required only once per school year unless an applicant’s information changes. Returning media representatives may use the shortened form, but each event must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and approved separately.

Blair Academy prohibits filming or photography in locker rooms or other private team spaces, the use of drones and placing microphones or recording devices on student-athletes and coaches. I agree not to publish or share footage containing foul or inappropriate language or to disrupt the game, interfere with participants or enter unauthorized areas. 

I understand that violating these rules may result in removal from the event and the denial of future media access.
