Emmanuel Bello

Emmanuel Bello '04 brings to Blair's Board of Trustees his extensive knowledge of the fast-moving and dynamic finance industry. In 2020, he was reappointed to Blair’s Board of Trustees after having served an earlier term from 2013 to 2019. Throughout his time on the Board, Mr. Bello has served on the Budget, Investment, and Education and School Life Committees. He was the first Blair student to receive the prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in 2008 with a BA in economics with distinction and highest honors. He began his career in New York City as an analyst with UBS Investment Bank before joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a high yield credit research analyst in 2011. Mr. Bello joined Owl Rock Capital Partners LP, a leading alternative investment manager, in May 2020. In addition, he is actively involved with New Jersey SEEDS, a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities to motivated, high achieving students from low-income families, and currently serves on the board of trustees of the organization. In the years since he graduated, Mr. Bello has remained loyal and connected to Blair Academy by attending alumni gatherings and maintaining relationships with many in the Blair community. He has often returned to campus to speak to retired history teacher Martin Miller’s economics class and shared his story and expertise with the broader Blair community as a Young Alumni Skeptics panelist and, most recently, at a virtual Society of Skeptics event.
