At Blair, service is more than just volunteering, it's about coming together as a community to make a meaningful impact. The Blair Service Corps is a student-driven program where you'll have the chance to work alongside passionate peers and supportive faculty on a wide variety of service projects. Many of our initiatives have been started by students, and we do everything we can to help bring those ideas to life.

Our students are involved in many incredible efforts, such as gathering surplus produce from local farms to support food pantries, lending a hand in soup kitchens, assisting with public art projects and working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. We also organize fundraisers like Dance Marathon for Children's Miracle Network and Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. Some students focus on raising awareness for causes they care deeply about and others take part in conservation efforts like planting trees, clearing hiking trails or cleaning up rivers. In the spring of 2025, we even launched a new afterschool activity called Blair Arts in the Community. This service-focused program gave students the chance to collaborate on a large-scale community mural, combining creativity with meaningful outreach.

Beyond local projects, students have also taken part in immersive service trips, including visits to Blair's two schools in Kenya and to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee. These experiences offer a more immersive experience with a deeper look into how service can shape lives and communities around the world.

Get Involved This Year

Whether you're hoping to take on a leadership role in the Blair Service Corps or simply lend a hand on a single project, there's a place for you here. Reach out to Mrs. Trish at trishg@blair.edu to get started.

Blair Service Corps

The Blair Service Corps is the umbrella service organization at Blair; we support student service clubs and sponsor our own projects throughout the year. Service Corps members work in a variety of different areas, including:

Do you have an idea for a service project? Let us know, and we will do our best to assist making that project a reality.

Day of Service

In May, the entire school pauses for a day while all students and faculty members participate in a Day of Service, doing volunteer work throughout our local community. If you would like to be involved in planning the Day of Service, let us know.

This should be a great year!  We look forward to working with you to help others.
