Our endowment is an investment in the future, ensuring we can pursue our essential mission in perpetuity. A strong endowment gives us confidence to plan and make strategic long-term decisions on a foundation of financial security.
Today, Blair’s endowment stands at $105 million, as of August 2019—impressive when you consider it totaled just $12 million in 1988. Yet, the reality is that Blair was a latecomer to endowment-building: This means Blair relies more heavily on tuition to meet everyday needs than other schools.
To better secure the School’s financial future, we are building on Blair’s endowment, investing in our most valuable resources—students and teachers. At the same time, we are increasing scholarship aid for students and support for salaries and academic enrichment for the faculty.
