Film & Video Production

The film and video production program is centered around the craft of storytelling using industry-standard methods of television and motion picture production. Throughout the course of study, students learn all aspects of creating a movie from start to finish: ideation, writing a screenplay, preproduction planning, cinematography and audio recording, directing actors, editing, sound mixing and scoring, color correction, and distribution. Students have opportunities to work both individually and as a group and are encouraged to produce films for entry into film festivals.

Creativity abounds in Blair's centrally located Chiang-Elghanayan Center for Innovation and Collaboration, where students can leverage state-of-the-art video and audio production equipment in the building’s media lab and recording studio, complete with a built-in green screen and automated light grid.
